Oxy Systems, Inc. (www. oxysys. com) is a Cambridge startup that builds consumer applications for cell phones. Our mobile music social networking service, phling!, lets you stream music, podcasts and pictures from your home PC to your cell. And as part of the phling! community, you can also see what other users are playing, rate songs, see other users' ratings, play songs from your friends' PCs, and more.

We are currently looking for a contract programmer to port an existing Windows desktop application (really, a ‘service’) to Mac OS X. The program was written for Windows XP. The application does extensive networking with both a central server as well as mobile phones. The application transfers files, streams music or video, scales pictures, etc. There is a fairly minimal UI component, mostly setting preferences and getting some status information.

Experience with C++, Networking, UI, and Installation in a Mac OS X 10. 4+ environment is required. No off-site development will be considered.
