Tuscaloosa-Ala. -based Gulf States Paper Corp. will eliminate 67 jobs as a result of the sale of its paperboard division to Atlanta-based Rock-Tenn Co. Gulf States says the payroll reduction will total $4. 1 million a year.

Gulf States will continue to manage 400,000 acres of Alabama timberland, operate a sawmill near Moundville, and own commercial real estate in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
