"My name is Jimmye Dykes and I've been with Central Parking System for more
than 23 years. Needless to say, I've held a number of positions, starting out
as a surface lot cashier.
I've enjoyed my career with CPS, a large part due to the type of work that I do
and the people I work with. My job offers a variety of responsibilities that
are necessary each month, and this keeps my career interesting. It's definitely
a challenge making sure all deadlines are met and that the work is correct. My
duties include Accounts Payable, Daily Cash Reports, Accounts Receivable and
bank reconciliations, just to name a few. My favorite part is working with my
customers, for example, when they come into the office to pay for monthly
parking and pick up their permits. You really get to know a lot of the people
and when you remember their names, it makes them feel good. I believe that's
