Alfred Matott, Correctional Officer
After serving with the Armed Forces, I began looking for a career in law enforcement that offered opportunities for career advancement and mobility, and discovered the Federal Bureau of Prisons. In addition to the excellent wages and benefits, they had over 100 locations throughout the U. S. to which I could apply.
In 1998 I joined FCI Ray Brook in New York as a Correctional Officer. Since that time, I have held numerous collateral duties and I have had many opportunities to train and advance my career. I am currently the Tool Room Officer at USP McCreary, in Pine Knot, Kentucky.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every position I have held with the Bureau of Prisons. I find my work both challenging and rewarding and I look forward to coming to work every day. I strongly feel the Bureau of Prisons would be a great career choice for anyone interested in the field of law enforcement. |
