Position: Maintenance
of Way Laborer


Responsibilities:

Perform tasks associated with track work including but not limited to,
pulling and driving spikes, replacing ties, surfacing track, changing rail,
bars, and other track apparatus.
Must be willing to learn and apply FRA rules and regulations and be able to
perform maintenance in a timely manner.
Must be willing to learn to operate in a safe and efficient manner, all
equipment and tools associated with track maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of time worked, track conditions encountered and
corrective action taken.
Must comply with RailAmerica Safety Rules around railroad fixed plant and
rolling stock.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must possess valid drivers license and CDL if required.
Must be able to perform duties that require heavy lifting.
Must be willing to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
Position requires flexible work schedule.
Must willing and capable to meet requirements of a Conductor within 6
months of hire.
