(Killeen, Texas; March 12, 1999) -- Convergys Corporation, the global leader in providing outsourced, integrated, customer care and billing services, announces an expansion with a new facility in Killeen. Convergys will create nearly 600 new jobs and build approximately 300 workstations in the Killeen Industrial Park area.

The new Killeen facility, scheduled to open in June, will be a state-of-the-art design operating 24 hours a day, 7days a week. Convergys has had operations in Killeen since 1995. The existing call center has nearly 1,000 employees and is located a quarter of a mile north of the new facility.

The new jobs created in Killeen will be for sales and customer service representatives to handle telephone inquiries and manage customer relationships for Convergys' clients. Training begins in April. Convergys is already accepting applications for these positions.
