Supported Employment

Work Activity Center strives to enhance the lives of individuals through community employment. Individuals in Supported Employment hold jobs in a variety of different types of businesses (assembly, maintenance, housekeeping, administrative work, packaging, etc. ) in several locations throughout the Salt Lake valley.

Individual job independence varies from enclave or group work to completely independent positions. Staff ensure quality of work for community employers and provide teaching and support to individuals in all job-related tasks (searching, applying, interviewing, travel arrangements, general employee skills and job-specific skills. )
