INTERNET APPLICATION DEVELOPER
Status:  Full Time Exempt

General Description

The Internet Application Developer will be responsible for developing Web-based, database-driven applications and Web sites. This person will work closely with producers, designers, and other application developers to complete Internet projects for our clients.   The Internet Application Developer needs to understand all facets of a project and be able to support the team as well as client decisions regarding the project. Individuals should be self-directed, focused, committed and be independent, critical thinkers.

It is absolutely essential that the candidate have extensive experience developing Internet applications using PHP.

Responsibilities

Provide analysis of and input on end-user requirements
Assist in defining functionality for projects
Develop detailed application and database design documentation
Write code according to functional requirements
Produce quality and well-documented code
Test and debug development applications
Communication of complex technical information to non-technical internal and client contacts
Assist with creating and teaching new processes and standards for the team

Requirements

3 years minimum professional application development experience, ranging from Web site development to Internet application development
Proven professional experience working heavily with PHP
Expert-level experience working with complex HTML 
Working knowledge of programming concepts as related to web-based applications, relational databases, and SQL
The ability to work with multiple platforms, including UNIX, Mac OS, and Windows
